Stainless Steel Camping Stove Drilling Stainless Steel?

Drilling stainless steel? - stainless steel camping stove

I'm trying to drill through about 1 / 16 "stainless steel and have tried to bits cobalt and high-speed drill (two of them managed to break) I drill slowly with moderate pressure and high pressure, if all else fails and I have a little script, what should I do? "Admittedly, this is a small camping stove for the construction of the hot-dog cart.

1 / 16 of the SS should be no problem .... I bet the drill rotates in the wrong direction .....

First, they want to drill punch. Your done almost everything except two things. Drill at low speed no more than 600 rpm with a base oil sulfur to keep something fresh, place a block of wood behind the drill field, these wells in the last minute by the unavailability due to the metal and enter the cause breakage. Temper steel is drilled free if faster because the heat produced is used.

It takes a little good start, with, Bosche is very durable. And I would recommend to press hard or else we will never break do not apply heavy pressure for 3-4 seconds tops broke, I do not want the bit to overheat, do not let them cherry red again, back and blow over. Oil is not necessary.

Even a little cheaper than at 1 / 16 SS like a hot knife through butter.

I have a question. Practice is to rotate in the opposite direction.
